Japanese police say a man, who said he was tired of living, went on a stabbing rampage in Tokyo Sunday, killing seven people and wounding at least 10 others.
Authorities say the man drove a truck into a crowd in Tokyo's bustling Akihabara area before jumping out screaming and stabbing strangers.
Police say the attacker, identified as a 25-year-old member of one of Japan's yakuza crime syndicates, said he came to Akihabara to kill people because he was tired of life.
Authorities say the man killed six men and a woman.
Akihabara is home to retailers of electronics and other popular gadgets. It is usually crowded on Sundays.
