Yemeni officials say at least 47 people have been killed in heavy rains
and severe flooding that has swept through the south of the country.
Officials
say the storms have left hundreds of people stranded this week, and
have damaged homes in at least two southeastern provinces, including
Hadramut.
Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has flown to Hadramut province to oversee rescue efforts.
Weather forecasters say the storms are likely to continue for several days.
