Body of Jennifer Hudson's Nephew Found in Chicago

Chicago police say they have found the body of the seven-year-old nephew of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, three days after her mother and brother were found shot to death.

Julian King's body was found Monday in the back seat of a vehicle abandoned on a Chicago, Illinois street in the Midwestern U.S.

The boy was discovered to be missing Friday, when a relative found the bodies of Hudson's mother, 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, and the actress's brother, 29-year-old Jason Hudson. Neighbors in Chicago had reported hearing gunshots hours earlier.

Police said the killings appeared to be the result of a domestic incident. Police say they have questioned the boy's stepfather, William Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson's sister Julia, as what they call "a person of interest," in the case, but he has not been charged with a crime.

Records from the Illinois Department of Corrections show Balfour has been convicted of attempted murder, car theft and vehicular hijacking. He was released from prison in 2006.

Jennifer Hudson found fame after being voted off the popular U.S. television singing competition American Idol. She later earned an Academy Award in 2007 for her role as a rhythm and blues singer in the film Dreamgirls.

Hudson is currently appearing in the film, The Secret Life of Bees.
