President Bush has recognized the Major League Baseball World Series Champions Arizona Diamondbacks at a visit to the White House Thursday and thanked them for going to the World Trade Center site to boost morale.
The president says the baseball team helped Americans overcome their grief of the terrorist attack by continuing to play baseball.
President Bush at one time was a part-owner of a major league team, the Texas Rangers.
