Russia's Pavel Rostovtsev has won a men's individual 20-kilometer biathlon competition by combining strong skiing and perfection in the shooting range in (Pokljuka,) Slovenia.
The 30-year-old Russian finished in 1 hour, 2 seconds. Latvia's Ilmars Bricis was second with one miss in the shooting, 31.4 seconds back. Vincent Defrasne of France missed two targets and finished third, 34.3 seconds behind Rostovtsev.
Frank Luck of Germany finshed sixth but leads the World Cup standings with 121 points after three races. Rostovtsev is in second place overall just one point back. Ole Einar Bjoerndalen of Norway is third overall with 112 points.
