Many boxing fans are wondering if Washington, D.C., the city that is home to Voice of America's headquarters, will play host to the Mike Tyson-Lennox Lewis heavyweight title fight.
The big bout has been penciled in for June 8 at the MCI Center Arena, which is located just a few blocks from the VOA studios.
Tyson has applied for a license to fight in Washington. A vote on whether to issue the former heavyweight champ a license is scheduled for March 12. Dan Rafael, the boxing writer for one of the biggest newspapers in the United States, USA Today, says all indications point to Tyson getting a license in Washington.
