Australia's cricket team has scored 382 all out in its first innings on the second day of its second test match against South Africa in Cape Town.

Adam Gilchrist led the Aussies with his sixth test century, scoring 138 runs including 22 fours and two sixes. Ricky Ponting added another 47 runs for the Aussies, who lead South Africa by 143 runs.

South Africa managed seven not out in its second innings before bad light forced play to be stopped 10 overs early. Australia won the first test in Johannesburg by an innings and 360 runs.
