U.S. PGA champion David Toms and British Open winner David Duval of the United States headline the field for this week's Houston Open golf tournament at the TPC at the Woodlands in Texas.
Toms has three top-10 finishes in eight starts this year, including finishing second in a playoff at the Mercedes Championships. Duval has been in the top 20 only once in seven starts this season. He tied for 28th at last week's Players Championship in Florida.
Also in the field is defending champion Hal Sutton of the United States. Sutton has missed the cut in six of his nine starts this year. Former British Open winner and Texas native Justin Leonard will also play. Two of his last six titles on the PGA Tour have come in Texas.
Former British Open winner John Daly of the United States will compete after missing the cut at last week's Player's Championship. Former Masters winners Vijay Singh of Fiji and Jose Maria Olazabal will play as will Australian Robert Allenby and New Zealand's Michael Campbell.
The tournament will be played on the 6,417 meters, par-72 Woodlands course beginning Thursday. The winner takes home $504,000.
