Dateline: Plagiarism Thriving on the Web

Scattered across the computer Internet, you can find more than 100 research organizations known as paper mills.

For a fee, these paper factories churn out ready-made reports, term papers - even complex doctoral dissertations. If you don't want a report off the shelf, some of these mills will research and write one for you.

But in this Dateline story, VOA's Ted Landphair reports schools and colleges are themselves using computers to combat academic fraud.
