Prosecutors at the trial of accused September 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui say they want to show the jury video footage of the hijacked plane attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City.
The U.S. government Thursday said the prosecutors also want to show the jury photographs of the victims. The prosecutors plan to use the pictures during the part of the trial on whether Mr. Moussaoui is guilty of conspiring with September 11 hijackers and then in the penalty phase of the case, if he is convicted.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for the French citizen, who has been acting as his own lawyer.
Mr. Moussaoui has been charged with six counts of conspiracy related to the September attacks. At the last hearing in the case, in late July, he initially said he wanted to plead guilty, but then changed his mind and withdrew his guilty plea.
