In respone to the stay away called for by the ZCTU, University of Zimbabwe political science lecturer, Dr. Joseph Kurebwa says Zimbabweans are simply reacting to government’s neglect of their needs. Dr. Kurebwa says this form of protest might intensify now that Zimbabweans feel they really have nothing more to lose. He says Movement for Democratic Change leader Morgan Tsvangirai should consider President Mugabe’s offer to meet, despite the fact that he is challenging the President’s legitimacy.
