Former Beatle Paul McCartney and his second wife, Heather Mills, said Wednesday they are expecting a baby later this year.
The 60-year-old McCartney and 34-year-old Ms. Mills said in a statement they are delighted at this happy news. They did not say exactly when the child is due.
This will be McCartney's fourth child and the first for Ms. Mills. He has three children from his marriage of 29 years to Linda Eastman, who died of cancer four years ago. He also adopted her child from her first marriage.
McCartney and Ms. Mills married in June 2002. They met in 1999 at a charity function where she was raising money to oppose the use of land mines.
McCartney helped revolutionize rock and roll music in the 1960s as a member of the legendary British group The Beatles.
