Russia's Elena Dementieva has upset top seed top seed Chanda Rubin of the United States to win the Wismilak International tennis tournament in Bali, Indonesia.

Dementieva, the second seed, notched the second title of her career Sunday after cruising past Rubin in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 in just 68 minutes.

The tall 21-year-old Russian won her first tournament at Amelia Island, Florida, earlier this year.

Number-two seed Sjeng Schalken of the Netherlands beat top-seeded Rainer Schuettler on Sunday to win the Brazil Open tennis tournament in Costa do Sauipe.

Schalken scored an easy 6-2, 6-4 victory, his third straight win over the German. Schalken also beat Schuettler in straight-sets in the fourth round at Wimbledon and mounted a four-set win in the fourth round at the U.S. Open.

It was Schalken's second title this year and ninth of his career. He was the surprise runner-up at the Australian Open and has had a solid season, making it to the semifinals at Tennis Masters Series events at Montreal and Cincinnati.

This was the first time a final at this event did not feature a Brazilian player.
