Cricket: S. Africa Defeats Pakistan - 2003-10-07

South Africa's cricket team defeated Pakistan by 13 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis rule when bad light stopped play in the third one-day international match in Faisalabad.

Pakistan won the toss and scored 243 for eight in 50 overs. Yasir Hameed led the home side with 72 runs. Under the Duckworth-Lewis method, South Africa needed to score only 208 runs in 45 overs to win. The tourists reached 221 for six in 45 overs when the match referees offered the visiting side a ruling of bad light. South Africa accepted and won the match.

Pakistan leads the series two matches to one.
