China says 58 percent of computer networks in the country's offices have fallen victim to Internet security problems this year.
Chinese state-run media report China's Public Security Ministry reviewed computer networks used in more than 7,000 Chinese government and financial offices.
Government officials say the problems are mainly caused by poor staff training and a lack of awareness about computer virus protection.
