Rusedski Reaches Finals of Kremlin Cup Tennis Tourney - 2004-10-16

Greg Rusedski of Britain has reached the men's final of the Kremlin Cup tennis in Moscow. Rusedski upset third seed Dominik Hrbaty of Slovakia on Saturday in straight sets (6-4, 6-3).

He will play eighth-seeded Nikolay Davydenko of Russia, who beat fifth-seeded compatriot Mikhail Youzhny in three sets (7-5, 6-7, 7-5).

The 31-year old Rusedski, who is recovering from two surgeries and a doping scandal, played an effective serve-and-volley game against Hrbaty. Davydenko won despite Youzhny saving five match points.

The women's final will be an all-Russian affair with defending champion Anastasia Myskina opposing countrywoman Elena Dementieva.
