Bus Overturns in Sinai, At Least 11 Dead

update

Police say a bus carrying tourists has overturned in Egypt's Sinai peninsula, killing at least 11 people.

Police say at least 35 other tourists were injured in the accident, which took place on Sinai's Red Sea coast between the resort towns of Nuweiba and Taba.

Police say most of the victims are Arab citizens of Israel.

Roads and trains in Egypt are often not well maintained. In the Sinai, the coastal road is winding and dangerous.

On Monday, 58 people were killed when two commuter trains collided north of Cairo.

Some information for this report was provided by AFP, AP and Reuters.
