Military Plane Crashes in Algeria, 103 Dead

Reports from Algeria say a military transport plane has crashed, killing all 103 people on board.

The official Algerian Press Service says the C-130 plane went down Tuesday on Mount Djebel Fertas, in northeastern Algeria, while approaching the city of Constantine.

The report, which cites an Algerian military colonel says bad weather and high winds likely played a role in the crash.

The news agency says the plane was carrying 99 passengers and four crew members. The flight had originated in the southern province of Tamanrasset.

The Associated Press cites an unidentified intelligence officer as saying the crash killed everyone on board.
