A Boeing 777 passenger jet has crash landed at the San Francisco International Airport in California.
Officials have identified it as Asiana Airlines Flight 214, originating in Seoul, South Korea. The plane was carrying around 300 passengers, and it is not clear if there are any casualties.
Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board are on their way to the scene. All flights in and out of the San Francisco airport are canceled.
Television pictures show the plane on the ground with its tail missing, one of its wings collapsed and the top of its fuselage burned through. Debris from what appears to be part of the tail trailed behind the plane along the runway.
