Donald Trump is now the 45th president of the United States. After swearing his allegiance to the Constitution in a ceremony at the US Capitol Friday, Trump delivered a 16-minute address stressing his campaign theme - "make America great again." The 70-year-old president, holding elective office for the first time in his life, told a crowd of several hundred thousand people at the National Mall that his administration will transfer power away from Washington and return it to the American people.

Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have boarded a helicopter bound for Andrews Air Force Base. The couple will be traveling to Palm Springs while new President Donald Trump continues on with inauguration activities.
