The Looxcie is a wearable camcorder that slips over the user’s ear. It can be paired with an Android device via Bluetooth to send video clips and also serves as an earpiece for a phone.

GoPro is a line of personal cameras that can be mounted on a helmet or other piece of sports equipment. The cameras are especially popular with extreme sports participants.

ChipSip’s Smart Glass is similar to Google Glass. It can pair with Android devices and includes a high definition screen.

Unlike Google Glass and Smart Glass, Glass Up looks more like a real set of glasses. The display is the center of the right lens and the information appears in the center of the wearer’s field of vision.

Laforge’s Icis smart glasses also incorporate a larger information display into a full pair of glasses. Laforge will be sending glasses with beta testers in mid-to-late 2014.

Optinvent Ora is an example of “augmented reality” glasses that put a see-through screen in the wearer’s field of vision. The glasses run on the Android operating system.

Meta Pro boasts that its display is 15 times larger than Google Glass, with a holographic interface. The glasses will be available to consumers in Fall of 2014.
