US Economy Adds 215K Jobs in July

Yet more signs of an improving job market. The U.S. Labor Department says employers added 215,000 jobs last month. That’s the third consecutive month of job gains above 200,000 following weaker than expected job growth earlier in the year. While the unemployment rate held steady at 5.3 percent, analysts say the July job gains increase pressure on the Federal Reserve to start raising interest rates soon. Mil Arcega has more.
