He's known for his novel Wicked, which tells the Wizard of Oz story from the Wicked Witch of the West's perspective. The book has become a Tony-award winning musical and an international smash. Now Gregory Maguire has written a new take on Alice in Wonderland, After Alice. He spoke with VOA American Cafe host David Byrd about the book, and what literature means for all of us.
