Can dirty air be bad for the brain? A new study suggests that smog and other air pollutants may contribute to Alzheimer’s, a disease that causes progressive memory loss and dementia, and affects millions of people around the world. Scientists do not fully understand what causes Alzheimer’s, especially as people age, but think health, genetics and environmental factors contribute. Deborah Block has a report.
