US Imposes New Economic Sanctions Against Venezuela After Maduro Win

The White House has announced new economic sanctions against Venezuela following Sunday's re-election of President Nicolas Maduro in a vote boycotted by much of the country's opposition and denounced as a "farce" aimed at legitimizing his autocratic regime. President Donald's Trump executive order cites corruption and ongoing repression of the political opposition as among the reasons for imposing the new sanctions. Cristina Caicedo Smit reports.
