The theme of redemption from slavery is part of the Jewish holiday of Passover which began on March 27 and ends on April 4. Passover has always struck a chord within the African-American community. In Boston, young blacks and Jews produced a new album of freedom songs. They believe music can forge stronger bonds between two groups that have had strained relations.
