Black Barbershops Join COVID Fight

African Americans are nearly four times more likely to die of COVID-19 than whites, by one estimate. But polls show more Blacks than whites say they will not get a coronavirus vaccine when one becomes available. A history of racism in medicine means trust in the health system is lower among African Americans. To help overcome those barriers, health officials are turning to a respected institution in the Black community: Barbershops. VOA's Steve Baragona has more.
