Science in a Minute: NASA's Voyager 1 Catches the Sound of Interstellar Space

After sending back high-resolution images of Jupiter and Saturn, NASA’s Voyager 1 spacecraft continues its journey. It left the solar system and entered interstellar space (the space between the stars) in August 2012. Scientists were twice able to capture the sound of interstellar space by Voyager 1’s plasma wave instrument.
