Officials in northwest Pakistan say an explosion at a tribal elder's house has killed at least nine people, including three children.
Authorities say several people were wounded in the blast Monday in the reception area of the elder's home in a remote village in the Khyber tribal district, close to the Afghan border in Tirah Valley.
There has been no claim of responsibility.
The region straddles the NATO supply route into Afghanistan.
