On Syria, US Emphasizes Defeat of Islamic State, De-Escalation of Conflict

With the war in Syria soon entering its eighth year, officials in Washington delivered remarks on the way forward in Syria as U.S.-backed Syrian forces launch new offensives to push the Islamic State out of the region. VOA's Elizabeth Cherneff reports.
