Obama: Not First US President to Try to Normalize Ties With Cuba

In the coming weeks or perhaps even days, the United States and Cuba are expected to re-establish full diplomatic ties and open embassies in each other’s capitals. VOA’s Jerome Socolovsky reports the move is the culmination of a diplomatic initiative that has succeeded where previous ones failed.
