Roadside Bombs Kill 6 in Afghanistan' Nangarhar Province

Two roadside bombs have killed six civilians in Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province.

The first bomb blew up as a car drove over it in the Achin district, killing the driver.

The second was detonated by remote control, killing another five people who had rushed to help.

A number of others, including children, were wounded and taken to hospital.

Taliban militants and other insurgents frequently use improvised explosive devices to target Afghan and coalition security forces, often leading to civilian casualties.
