Shinzo Abe, Japan’s Longest-Serving PM, Assassinated

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, one of the country’s most prominent political figures, was assassinated Friday. Abe was shot in the chest during a campaign speech for a candidate ahead of Sunday’s upper house election. The assassination shocked Japan and leaves a major void in the country’s politics, as VOA’s Bill Gallo reports from Seoul.
