Pakistan police say a gun and suicide bomb attack Monday on a court in the capital, has killed 11 people, including two judges and several attorneys.
Police say 25 people, mostly young attorneys, were wounded in the attack Monday in Islamabad, calling it a "well-coordinated incident of terrorism." They had originally said 35 people were wounded.
Lawyer associations have announced a nationwide strike to protest the courtroom violence.
Police say the initial probe into the assault suggests at least two men lobbed hand grenades into a courtroom crowd and then sprayed the room with bullets before blowing themselves up.
Meanwhile in northwest Pakistan, a blast has killed two soldiers and wounded four in the Sadokhel area of the restive Khyber tribal region.
There were no immediate claims of responsibility for either of the attacks.
