No Casualties Reported from Spain Explosions

People gather at entrance of Italian Cultural Institute in Barcelona, after small, rudimentary bomb exploded injuring a policeman and killing a bomb-sniffing dog
Spanish reports say four small bombs have exploded near a power station in Spain's northern Basque region, after a warning call from the separatist group ETA.

State radio says the explosions occurred Tuesday in the town of Amorebieta in Vizcaya province. No casualties were reported.

ETA has been blamed for more than 800 deaths in its more than 30-year campaign for the creation of an independent Basque state in southwestern France and northern Spain.

In a separate incident earlier Tuesday, a small homemade bomb exploded at the Italian Cultural Institute in Barcelona, wounding a policeman and killing a bomb-sniffing dog. Spanish police say that incident does not appear to be a terrorist attack, but Italian embassy officials say it is too early to say.
