Russian tennis sensation Maria Sharapova is taking home $1 million after winning the WTA Championships Monday in Los Angeles.
Sharapova upended American Serena Williams, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4, in a rematch of this year's Wimbledon final, which the 17-year-old Russian also won.
The win was Sharapova's fifth of the year. She will be ranked number-four in the world -- her career high -- when the year-end WTA rankings are released later Tuesday.
