A South Korean court has sentenced a man to death for killing 20 people in one of the country's worst cases of serial murder.
The killings were carried out between September 2003 and July of this year. Most of the victims were women and older people.
Thirty-four year old Yoo Young-chul apparently committed the murders out of hatred for women and wealthy men. Police say his hatred apparently worsened after his wife divorced him two years ago and he broke up with a girlfriend.
Yoo has seven days to appeal the sentence.
