Kuwait Charges Two Soldiers for Plotting Against Coalition Troops

update

The Kuwaiti military says two of its soldiers will stand trial in military court on charges of plotting against coalition forces in the Gulf State.

Army Colonel Youssef al-Mulla told the official KUNA news agency that investigators determined the other soldiers initially detained with the men were not linked to the alleged plot.

Colonel al-Mulla did not specify who exactly was meant by coalition forces, but earlier reports said the plot was directed against American forces.

Thousands of U.S. soldiers are stationed in Kuwait, which is a main staging area of troops heading into neighboring Iraq.
