Fresh Floods in Southwestern Pakistan Kill 14

Pakistani officials say torrential rains and subsequent floods in southwestern Baluchistan province have killed at least 14 people over the past two days.

The officials say most of the deaths occurred in two districts, Qilla Abdullah and Gwadar, where heavy downpours damaged hundreds of homes and forced thousands of people to flee.

In Gwadar, roads are submerged in water and a small airport was temporarily closed due to the flooding.

Last month, at least 250 people died in the same province after the Shadikor Dam in the Pasni region burst, sweeping entire villages out to sea.
