American Golfer Perry Holds Off Singh to Win Bay Hill Invitational

American golfer Kenny Perry fought off a strong charge from Vijay Singh to win the rain delayed Bay Hill Invitational tournament in Orlando, Florida. Despite falling short, Singh played well enough to regain the top ranking in the world.

Perry closed out the third round early Sunday with a three shot lead. Singh erased the deficit before he hit his ball in the water on the final hole to drop him into a second place tie with Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland at 10-under-par 278. Perry's final round two-under-par 70 gave him a two-shot victory at 12-under-par 276.

American Tiger Woods finished in a disappointing tie for 23rd place at one-under-par 287. He falls to number two in the world rankings.
