Car Bomb Kills 5 in Iraqi Town


A car bomb explosion in Iraq has killed five people, including four police officers who were on patrol.

Officials say a civilian was also among the dead in the town of Khan Bani Saad, near Baquba, just north of Baghdad. At least three other people were injured.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military reported Saturday, that a Marine was killed in action Friday, in the western city of Ramadi.

In political news, the Iraqi National Assembly is scheduled to meet Sunday to finally elect a speaker. But politicians say Shi'ite and Sunni leaders are still not able to agree on a Sunni candidate for the post.

The impasse has delayed formation of the new government.
