FC Barcelona has clinched its first Spanish football (soccer) league title in six years, after playing Levante to a 1-1 draw in Madrid.
Alberto Rivera gave Levante the lead in the 35th minute, before star Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o of Cameroon scored his 24th goal of the season on a 60th minute header to tie the game.
Barcelona now has an unassailable six point lead over second-place Real Madrid with just two games left. After Madrid was held to a 2-2 draw at Sevilla, Barcelona needed just a draw to clinch the 17th league title in the club's history.
