All four suicide bombers in the July 7 London attacks were suspected of having links to Islamic extremist groups, including al-Qaida. Three of them were British-born Muslims of Pakistani origin.
Pakistani police said today they are questioning several detained Islamic militants about possible links to the July 7 attacks on three subway trains and one bus in London that killed 56 people and wounded more than 700.
The leaders of Britain's Sunni and Shi'ite Muslim communities have issued religious edicts condemning violence and the taking of innocent lives as anti-Muslim.
