The Formula One Commission has scheduled a Monday meeting in London to discuss radical changes in qualifying rules for races in 2006.
International Automobile Federation president Max Mosley and Formula One commercial rights holder Bernie Ecclestone will meet with team bosses and representatives of the sport's key sponsors and promoters.
They have been debating how to dispose of the unpopular single-lap qualifying. Ecclestone is proposing replacing Saturday's single lap qualifying with three separate sessions. The slowest five cars in the first two sessions would take the bottom 10 spots on the starting grid. The remaining 10 cars would battle for the pole poition in the third qualifying session.
Restrictions on tire changes and the use of spare cars will also be discussed.
