The U.S. government is warning Americans not to travel to northern Uganda.
The warning from the State Department cites the threat of more attacks by the rebel group, Lord's Resistance Army.
The rebel group has carried out numerous attacks in recent weeks, killing a British tourist and several aid workers.
The State Department says some of the attacks occurred in areas previously believed to be secure.
It urges Americans who live in northern Uganda to exercise extreme caution in their movements and stay within city centers.
The Lord's Resistance Army has fought a 19-year war against the Ugandan government, and is blamed for killing or abducting thousands of people.
