Former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic has been named to Croatia's squad for the Davis Cup tennis final against Slovakia in Bratislava December 2-4.
Croatian captain Niki Pilic announced the team Tuesday. Ivanisevic, who joins Ivan Ljubicic, Mario Ancic and Ivo Karlovic, retired from the men's professional tennis circuit with shoulder problems four years ago.
Slovak captain Miroslav Mecir named an unchanged squad comprising Dominik Hrbaty, Karol Beck, Michal Mertinak and Karol Kucera. Up to two nominated players on each side can be changed up to one hour before the draw on December first.
Croatia and Slovakia are first-time finalists and have never met before in Davis Cup competition. The winner will become the 12th nation to have its name engraved on the famed trophy.
