A story originally posted on VOANews.com February 2, 2006, erroneously reported that U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Jendayi Frazer called on the Ethiopian government to release all opposition politicians imprisoned since last year’s election. In fact, Secretary Frazer called on the Ethiopian government to release "many of the people who are in jail ..." VOA regrets the error.
