Kyrgyzstan's President Kurmanbek Bakiyev has rejected resignations given by 13 of his 15 Cabinet members.
Reports from Bishkek say both Mr. Bakiyev and Prime Minister Felix Kulov turned down the resignation offers, which were submitted by all except the transport and culture ministers.
They were in response to parliament's resolution on Friday that found the Cabinet's work unsatisfactory. Parliament, however, approved Mr. Kulov's performance.
President Bakiyev, who came to power last year on a wave of mass protests that ousted his Soviet-era predecessor, has had a tense relationship with parliament.
The political crisis came just three days after thousands of opposition supporters protested Mr. Bakiyev's policies, demanding political and economic reforms and moves against crime and corruption.
Kyrgyzstan has been struggling to establish stability since last year's lightning "revolution" brought Mr. Bakiyev and Mr. Kulov to power. The revolution was followed by disputed elections and complaints about corruption among the elite. Both leaders have come under fire for delay in bringing their promised reforms.
