Typhoon Bilis Kills 115 in China

China's state news agency says the death toll in the aftermath of Typhoon Bilis has risen to at least 115 people. More than 100 people are missing in Hunan province.

Xinhua reports 43 confirmed deaths in Fujian province, 39 in Hunan, and 33 in Guangdong.

The typhoon, which blew through eastern China on Friday, flooded villages, damaged roads and forced the evacuation of thousands of people.

There are reports that parts of China's main north-south railway line have flooded, stranding thousands of travelers.

Heavy economic losses are reported in Fujian and Zhejiang provinces.

Earlier reports said 40-thousand people in the cities of Hengyang and Chenzhou were stranded by floods.
