East Timorese officials say the country's international airport has been closed after deadly clashes erupted between rival gangs in the capital, Dili.
An airport official said Wednesday the facility is closed because there is not enough security for staff and passengers.
One person was killed near the airport Wednesday morning, and another was shot dead Tuesday.
Gang fights between armed youths are common in East Timor.
An international peacekeeping force was deployed to the country four months ago to control widespread violence spurred by the dismissal of several hundred army officers.
